During World War II African Americans showed their patriotism by taking to the skies, fighting the enemy and protecting their country. This program tells the story of the brave men who battled in the air and on the ground. "Fly Boys" will take viewers directly to Tuskegees training base as it exists today. And, through the use of archival footage, transports us to the battles they braved in the air and on the ground. The family and friends of the Airmen provide the moving back stories, while period film and pictures capture the thrill of air battle over Europe.
